Child Wave Africa is a Non-Governmental Organization dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children, women, and elderly caregivers in rural communities across Uganda.
Founded in response to the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS on families, the organization works to ensure that children who have lost parents to disease or accidents are given access to education, healthcare, and the support they need to thrive.
Through community-driven programs, Child Wave Africa addresses the root causes of poverty and creates long-term solutions that empower families and strengthen communities.

We support vulnerable children through scholarships, school supplies, uniforms, and transport monitoring attendance from primary all the way through university. Extra-curricular activities like music, drama, handcraft, and sports are offered to develop the whole child.

We implement life-saving health interventions across rural communities, with a strong focus on maternal and child health. Social workers engage daily with children and families to monitor wellbeing and connect them to care.

We empower grandmothers and caregivers with financial literacy, savings groups, and enterprise support. Survivors of sexual and gender-based violence receive healing and support, not silence. Families are strengthened so children can thrive.

Child Wave Africa builds schools and supports essential infrastructure in underserved and rural communities, creating the physical spaces where education, health, and community life can flourish for generations to come.

We address food insecurity in rural households, ensuring children and their families have access to adequate nutrition, a prerequisite for learning, growth, and long-term health. Poverty must not determine whether a child eats today.
To alleviate extreme poverty and facilitate lasting change in the lives of the most vulnerable children and families living in rural areas in Uganda
No child under 6 in Uganda, or their family members, shall lack basic nutrition, sanitation, healthcare, or education.
Child Wave Africa exists to alleviate extreme poverty and create lasting change in the lives of vulnerable children and families living in rural Uganda.
Many children in these communities cannot attend school due to poverty, lack of resources, or the loss of parents. By supporting families and communities, Child Wave Africa helps break the cycle of poverty and create opportunities for a brighter future.
